Navy - Season One The stellar cast includes Ernest Borgnine, Tim Conway, Carl Ballantine, Gavin MacLeod, Joe Flynn and Bob Hastings among others and they are backed by some of the best writers and directors of TV's early days. This was the one of a series of popular shows set in the military, a trend that started with the hilarious Sgt. Bilko in You'll Never Get Rich in the 1950s and continued through Hogan's Heroes, F-Troop & Gomer Pyle in the 1960s and M*A*S*H in the 1970s. The exploits of a wacky PT Boat crew during World War II, McHales Navy is good clean fun for the whole family, one of those sitcoms that played relentlessly in reruns on local stations during the boomer years. Time tested entertainment, you might say. One of the most anticipated releases of the year, McHale's Navy - Season One is already a big seller on Amazon.com even though it won't appear in stores for another month.

FEATURES YOU MIGHT ENJOY: McHale's Navy - Plot Synopsis: These
are the adventures of the misfit crew of PT-73 during World War II.
They're one of the best fighting crews in the Navy, but break regulations
when it suits them. Their commander, LCDR McHale, is at times as roguish
as his crew, but he puts his foot down when things go too far. They
are assigned an XO, Ensign Parker, who is by-the-book, but too much
of a klutz to command too much respect. They have a house-boy Fuji,
who deserted the Japanese Navy, who wears a POW outfit just in case
he's caught so he won't be shot at. Their nemesis is CAPT Binghamton
and his aide LT Carpenter. They're initially stationed in the South
Pacific, but move to Italy in the last season. Product Description
