JOURNEYMAN Science Fiction has suddenly become popular on TV thanks to some top quality shows like Battlestar Galactica and Stargate SGI. This thrilling drama is centered around newspaper reporter Dan Vassar, a guy who unwillingly jumps back in time in order to alter the course of people's lives. Just how and why this is is a mystery to our confused hero who disappears for days at a time much to the dismay of his wife and employer. Naturally no one believes him when he tells them he's been back to the '80s, they think he has a drinking problem. On the pilot episode Vassar inexplicably jumps back and forth into past decades to save a guy from a suicide attempt. Of course, as we know from past sci-fi dramas and that episode of The Simpsons, changing the past can lead to unintended consequences. And it turns out he's not the only person bending time. I don't want to give too much away because you'll want to experience this one for yourself, suffice to say even folks that normally detest science fiction will find Journeyman a wild, ultimately satisfying trip. Thanks to Kevin McKidd's intensity and a brilliant first script this series crackles with an intense fervor, at times both chilling and funny. No question, Journeyman is one of the best TV shows you'll see this fall with a twisty storyline and an emotion-packed ending that will leave you breathless. Just based on the pilot, it's as good as Rescue Me, The Shield or any other superior show on TV today. It's fantastic! I love this new show and can't help but wonder where the producers will go after disassembling our protagonist's life so quickly... Don't miss Journeyman when it debuts on NBC Monday, September 24th at 10:00pm ET/PT. Here's a preview:
